Three awards, released last week during the show of Cubadisco nominees, were to Spanish artists: Ojos de Brujo (Witch´s Eyes) by Aocaná (Warner / Diquela), to Joaquín Sabina for Vinagre y Rosas (Vinegar and Roses) (Sony) and to Martirio for 25 years / Live (New Media).Įl ritual de la fiesta de Mapeyé (The ritual of the Feast of Mapeyé), by Puerto Rican Mapeyé group, published by the record label of the group also won an award. Conceptual proposals articulated on recordings of excellence characterize the nine productions honored with the International Cubadisco 2010 Awards, with which the great celebration of Cuban music, to be held this year from May 15 to 23, recognizes outstanding cultural values that also have a significant social impact on the discography of other countries.
